For this one line question, Yama dharma had to reply in four chapters. This is as follows.
When a person lives in this world, he can choose 2 paths for living and they are –
1. Shreyas &
2. Preyas.
Shreyas means best route.
Preyas means one that is lovable.
Both are always opposite and contrast. That is, if one lives a Shreyas life then it will not be easy and a lovable one. And if one chooses a life that is most liked by him, it will not be the best.
It is only the one who follows the Preyas way of living who finally comes to my kingdom of Yama pattina, that is naraka or Hell. So, one should always try to follow the path of Shreyas in life. Yes, when one wants to form a positive energy ring around himself, then one has to follow the best path which is “shreyas” in life.
What is Shreyas path? And, how to follow this path?
